Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager - Enterprise Project Management Office.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the PMO

Recruit, train, and manage a team of PMO operations and governance resources to support the IT PMO in setting standards, planning, managing and governing the IT project portfolios

Manage internal client relationships with key stakeholders in the project process

Coach and train the MCIT staff on standards, policies, and tools

Drive the IT portfolio planning (sizing, prioritization and selection) processes by overseeing the demand management process and supporting the IT annual and quarterly planning processes

Ensure IT portfolio decisions are aligned to the IT department’s goals

Oversee the management and forecasting of Project/Program Manager resource capacity based on IT project portfolio needs

Define and maintain portfolio, program and project management guidelines, standards and tools

Create and distribute reports that measure the quality and of portfolio reports to senior leadership and client stakeholders

Define processes for collecting project/program/service data on which portfolio decisions are based

Configure and manage the PPM system and tools being used within the EPMO (e.g., SharePoint, MS Project Server, etc.)

Perform data analysis, metrics, reporting to support decision-making

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field

7+ years of responsibility managing IT PMO / Governance Teams, with 10+ years of progressive professional experience in technology

Industry experience in a highly analytical, fast-paced, and transaction/volume-based business where technology is critical to the survival of the business

Superb organizational skills, multi-tasking, professionalism, and attention to detail

Ability to think critically about the goals, deliverables, and plans for projects to ensure alignment to the business / project goal(s) and priorities

Results-oriented, showing decisiveness and judgment; willingness to be challenged and questioned, striving for continuous personal improvement

Strong interpersonal skills required, demonstrating a consistent commitment and ability to work with diverse work groups and individuals

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Focused on the big picture and not easily thrown off course by obstacles or heavy details

Demonstrate mental agility and the ability to adapt to a changing environment

Proficiency with MS Productivity Tools including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Word, etc., along with a general comfort level with learning and using new software tools

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in MIS or related area

Prior experience building, maintaining, and operating a Project Management Office or Enterprise Project Management office, including strategic planning, stakeholder management, process, and communication skills

IT experience in a highly analytical, fast-paced, and transaction/volume-based business

Experience using multiple project management frameworks including Agile and Waterfall

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Salary Transparency
NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $76,721.83 - $116,480.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
