Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School (SLP – School)
Start Date: 8/3/2026 | Available Shifts: 7.5 D | Pay Rate: $2,028.00 – $2,090.00
AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well‑respected school district in Milledgeville, Georgia to hire a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist for a contract position. The SLP will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students’ academic and social development.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role include:
Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
Developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs.
Providing direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings throughout the school year.
Monitoring and documenting student progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Providing training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Speech/Language Pathologist with school or teletherapy experience.
1 reference in entire work history.
Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or a related field.
State license required to start the assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Previous experience working in a school setting, early childhood, or pediatrics.
Strong knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
