County Mental Health Program Specialist 1 (Local Government)

Columbia, Montour, Snyder and Union Counties (CMSU), Behavioral Health and Developmental Services is seeking a Mental Health Program Specialist 1 to oversee the daily operation of CMSU’s Peer Support Services. Leading the Peer Support Program includes oversight of the Peer-to-Peer Program, The Path Home (Peer Run Crisis Residential), and the Market Street Hub (Drop-in Center). The Mental Health Program Specialist 1 reports to the County Administrator and Deputy Administrator, is responsible for day‑to‑day peer services, maintains regulatory standards, supervises program staff, enforces agency policy, and provides program improvement recommendations to administrators.

Work Schedule and Additional Information

Full‑time employment

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch.

Telework: Position does not offer telework.

Salary:

Starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of professional level experience in mental health and a bachelor’s degree.

Or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements

You must meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Veterans
