
Production Packaging Associate - D Shift (Nights)

Work Shift:
12hr-D Shift (United States of America) Rotating 12-hour Night Shift: 5:30pm - 6:00am, every other weekend off.
Pay:
$19/hr + $1.50 Shift Premium = $20.50/hr to start.
The Production/Packaging Associate II role applies moderate knowledge of proper packaging of materials and finished products, loads and moves material, and operates packaging equipment. The role follows Good Manufacturing Practices and is developmental toward a full‑filled operator role.
Responsibilities
Demonstrates mastery of Production/Packaging Associate I skills.
Safely and efficiently sort and separate dunnage.
Help new Production/Packaging Associates learn job tasks.
Complete drop tests on bottles and challenge quality with any issues.
Clear trimmer jams and restart line.
Quickly identify defects and alert quality and operators of any issues.
Keep count of production numbers and properly tag finished products.
Is team oriented and works well and efficiently with others.
Start up blowmolder and perform basic quality checks with assistance.
Operate and understand automotive machinery (touchscreen – HMI).
Other duties as assigned by management.
Duties may differ by plant based on equipment and plant design.
Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
Qualifications
Experience:
Intermediate mathematical skills are required.
Intermediate computer experience.
One plus year of equivalent experience.
Six months experience as an Altium Production/Packaging Associate I.
Skills:
Safe work practices fundamentals.
Professional standards appropriate behavior / managing self.
Quality inspect & alert.
Operate pack (most common); discard defects.
Operate pack (all lines); tag product; operate all other packing machinery.
Print tags; sync counts; confirm truck loads.
Support quality department activities as needed.
Education:
Preferred: High School diploma or GED.
Training:
Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate II training.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
