Position Summary
Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. This role supports repair and maintenance of Walmart facilities’ refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and repair Walmart facility's refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights, including moving up or down ladders.
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction‑related experience in commercial HVAC/R and building controls, OR 4 years of experience in the same field.
Preferred Qualifications
Completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R program.
Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.

Compensation
The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00–$45.00. The actual rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the location. In addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive bonus incentives and various premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
