Responsibilities
Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, and maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluates equipment for proper and safe function; reports malfunctions to director.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of recent acute‑care experience.
Current BLS, ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
NBRC certification (or eligibility) and 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 20–50 lbs; meet vision requirements.
Compensation
