Responsibilities
Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
Maintain patient records/documentation.
Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, and maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluates equipment for proper and safe function and reports malfunctions to director.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
Respond to emergent situations that may require respiratory support.
Physical Demands
Respective therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience.
Required certifications:
BLS, NRP, RRT, ACLS, NBRC
(additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment).
Ability to lift 20 pounds easily.
Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation
Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
