Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.

Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.

Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.

Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.

Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.

Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.

Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty; lift and move patients up to 50 pounds at times. Must have sufficient vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications
Must have at least 1 year of recent acute care experience.

Must have BLS; ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.

Certifications
NBRC certification, BLS, and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
