We're looking for a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for an immediate travel position opening in Fort Worth, TX. The right CRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certified Respiratory Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty, lift up to 20 pounds easily, and occasionally move or lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Must have 1 year of experience. Must have NBRC-CRT, BLS, and ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
Requirements:
ACLS, BLS, NBRC, 2 years.
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
