
Research Technician

Responsibilities
Supports research operations within the department by preparing and executing rodent‑based experiments and performing essential technical components of funded research studies
Coordinates study logistics
Administers animal treatments
Conducts data collection, management, and routine data analyses
Prepares chemicals and reagents
Maintains accurate study documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and reproducibility
Performs a wide variety of complex experiments and reports results
Keeps organized analytical data of performed experiments
Provides support for equipment maintenance as needed
Acts as a liaison to students and laboratory personnel for training
Maintains laboratory supply requisition and management
May train junior‑level staff and help plan experiments or short‑term goals
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in science or related field (minimum required; education beyond the minimum may substitute work experience and vice versa)
Required Skills
Proficient written and verbal communication skills
High degree of professionalism
Time management and priority setting skills

Flexibility to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment

Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to move about the work environment and position oneself to operate laboratory equipment
