Job Title: Certified Surgical Tech OB

Status: Full Time

Schedule: Days

Job Overview:

The Obstetrical Technologist (OB Tech) is responsible for scrub/assist duties in the OB/OR, maintenance of supplies, instruments and equipment in the Labor and Delivery and OB Surgery areas. He/she is responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director or designee.

General Responsibilities

Maintain stock supply in OB/OR.

Maintains stock supply in LDRs and PP utility.

Keeps clean utility organized and well-stocked.

Keeps dirty utility organized and well-stocked.

Returns instruments to C/S in a timely fashion.

Keeps MD preference cards current.

Checks supplies for integrity and expiration dates.

Assists labor patient to LDR room.

Sets up sterile LDR tables for virginal deliveries.

Removes instruments and helps clean room following a vaginal delivery.

Available to assist MD with retraction following a difficult vaginal delivery.

Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

1 year surgical technologist preferred.

Surgical Technologist Certification required.

BLS.

Preferred Certification.
