Job Summary
The Access Services Department is currently seeking a Temporary Guest Services Desk Assistant to join their team of professionals.
Responsibilities
Creates guest passes using the online operating system for visitors and FIU affiliates as needed.
Assists guests with general questions, provides information, and gives directions.
Remains alert to activity at turnstiles.
Monitors for any violations of the turnstile rules.
Has experience with customer service support projects appropriate to the department functions.
Assists with planning, development, and implementation of department projects.
Assists with monthly reports for department projects.
Works with relevant specialized software programs.
Assists Access Services or other library departments if needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Desired Qualifications
Ability to communicate effectively.
Knowledge of PC operations and software.
Possess a high sense of responsibility and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships and work well in a team environment.
