Human Resources Specialist
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Human Resources Director
Qualifications
Bachelors preferred.
Must have 3 years of experience with strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills,
Must be proficient in working with various technologies to develop and maintain forms and data.
General Responsibilities
The Human Resources Specialist will maintain, implement and administer the human resources online management system.
Specific Responsibilities
Manage and ensure the functionality of the human resources online management system
Train staff and administrators on the human resources online management system
Manage data and prepare reports for state, federal and local submissions
Approve certification for certificated staff on the Missouri Educators System
Approve jobs opportunities and post on internet and recruitment sites
Process background checks
Assign and process onboarding/offboarding forms
Create and maintain work records
Submit and approve background checks and I-9 documentation for employment
Issue and monitor contracts/memorandums
Maintain the Human Resource department website
Assist prospective candidates with applications
Provide customer service for the Human Resource Department
Act as custodian of archived personnel files
Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and movement around the instructional area.
