
Information Systems Supervisor - (Infrastructure)

Overview
Information Systems Supervisor (ISS) – (WWS) Information Technology Division. This is a non-remote work position.
Responsibilities
Lead for other Systems Analysts to guide the efforts for research, maintenance and support of WWS’ critical infrastructure systems.
Enhance security for WWS networks and supervise staff for support and continuity of operations for mission critical infrastructure systems at Water & Wastewater Services (WWS).
Develop and implement a strategy to migrate On-Premise infrastructure to Azure cloud.
Support and enhance the RedHat OpenShift cluster at WWS.
Support and enhance the infrastructure that supports the camera system at WWS.
Install, configure, manage, monitor, and maintain the County network, security, and remote access infrastructure.
Work under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and report major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
Plan, organize and implement approved emerging technologies.
Mentor and develop analysts and technical support staff to maintain requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to support implemented applications, systems, and solutions; document procedures used to teach and mentor.
Work with Virtual Environment, IT Security, and Physical Security teams to review and refine IT infrastructure management procedures to meet security goals.
Provide service desk level 2 support including handling incoming support calls and on-site service at any WWS site; use ServiceNow to review, update and resolve incidents or requests.
Act as a liaison with assigned agency technical staff, testing and troubleshooting system problems; assist staff with creating/running reports; represent agency on projects related to the financial system.
Review IT paperwork, approve leave, end user requests and other IT-related work; manage projects and assist in IT-related work including fiber replacement, eFax implementation, Office Suite upgrades, PC rollouts, Windows 11 upgrades, UPS replacements, Wi-Fi projects, laptop and tablet upgrades, and other IT-related projects.
Perform administrative office duties including procurement of IT hardware and software, entering purchase orders, maintaining files, software licenses, disaster recovery, and yearly capital and operating budgets.
Perform server administration tasks with user accounts, quarterly account audits, access to groups and shares, server resources, and monthly after-hours on-call rotation every three months.
Manage projects and advise senior management, supervisors, and staff with project management documentation, timelines, and solutions; respond to senior management report requests.
Supervise, assign work, and be responsible for the performance of software support staff including preparing annual performance reviews, approving leave requests, and ensuring project success through regular follow-ups.
Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Education And Experience
Requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer science or closely related field. (One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.) Requires four (4) years in systems analysis, systems design and/or programming experience relevant to area of assignment including six (6) months lead work/supervisory experience.

Five (5) years of experience with virtualization technologies
Five (5) years of experience in patching tools for Windows and Unix

Five (5) years of experience in Service Desk tools like ServiceNow
Experience in handling/supervising an IT Service Desk
Excellent communication skills and experience effectively interfacing with both technical and non-technical personnel
