
Vascular Sonographer, Reg. Fulltime** with Call *

Job Summary
A Registered Vascular Sonographer is responsible for:
Performing non‑invasive vascular procedures including but not limited to Extracranial Cerebrovascular Duplex, Upper and Lower Extremity Venous Duplex, Upper and Lower Extremity Arterial Duplex, Lower Extremity Physiologic Arterial Study, Upper Extremity Physiologic Arterial Study (TOS, Cold), Bypass Graft Surveillance, Dialysis Access Duplex Evaluation, Upper and Lower Extremity Vein Mapping, Abdominal Aorto‑iliac Duplex, Mesenteric Duplex, Renal Duplex, Transcranial Doppler (non‑imaging).
Preparing workload for the day.
Maintaining good communication skills and computer proficiency.
Following established lab protocols and participating in ongoing Quality Assurance and research projects.
Participating in a rolling after‑hours emergency call.
Education
Required: Graduate of a CAAHEP or CMA approved school of ultrasound or vascular technology education program and considered registry eligible by the ARDMS.
Preferred: Registered Vascular Technologist through the ARDMS.
Experience
Medical and/or hospital clinical experience.
Preferred: One year of experience as a Registered Vascular Technologist in a medical and/or hospital clinical setting.
Basic computer experience demonstrated by 1–2 years of work experience or college‑level courses.
Position Requirements
ARDMS Registered, RVT.
BLS certification prior to working in the unit/department and maintained thereafter.
Responsibilities & Expectations
The employee must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to perform comprehensive non‑invasive cardiovascular studies for the age of patients seen in the Vascular Lab at Erlanger Medical Center, provide accurate measurements, interact effectively and professionally with physicians, nurses and patients, and continuously increase their level of understanding and knowledge in the sonographer’s specialty area and new procedures as they evolve.
Hours
Regular, full‑time.
