Work Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Work Week: Monday – Friday
Responsibilities
The Staff Tax Auditor, under the general direction of the Tax Administrator I, conducts in-state and out-of-state audits and investigations of complex, sensitive accounts involving large employers with computerized accounting systems. The auditor identifies and develops audit leads for out-of-state and local area audit offices, serves as the department’s audit and compliance representative in out-stationed offices or in a headquarters setting, and develops guidelines, training courses, and policy procedures to assist management in administering the Employment Tax Program. The auditor may serve as a leadperson, mentoring new auditors and assisting with training.
