Overview

As a Hotel Desk Clerk (Night Audit), you help guests feel at home through a warm welcome, efficient check-in/check-out, and careful attention to guest needs. You contribute to a clean lobby and provide directions and local information to ensure a quality stay.

Responsibilities

Organize, confirm, and process guest check-in/check-outs; verify guest identity and adapt to changes

Respond to and resolve guest requests

Secure payments and verify/adjust billing as needed

Provide guests with room and hotel information, directions, amenities, and local interests

Process night audit and run daily reports; communicate findings to the next shift’s staff

Complete cashier and closing reports; count the bank at the end of each shift securely

Accept and record wake-up calls; deliver to the appropriate department

Maintain confidentiality of guest information

Communicate emergencies, lost items, or theft to proper staff or authorities

Report maintenance problems, accidents, and safety hazards

Keep contingency lists for emergencies and convey necessary messages

Protect company assets and comply with quality assurance expectations

Keep doors locked during the night; clean and organize the front desk, lobby, and market area when the hotel is quiet

Minimum Requirements
