Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Manager to join our growing renewable energy Asset team in Houston, TX. This full-time, in-office role oversees the execution of renewable energy projects from site mobilization to final commissioning. Acting as the owner’s representative, they ensure that construction activities are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
Supervise all on-site construction activities including civil, electrical, and mechanical work
Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution
Monitor progress against schedule and budget, and implement corrective actions as needed
Review engineering drawings and specifications for constructability
Ensure adherence to QA/QC protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations
Conduct inspections and verify completion of work before handover
Enforce site safety programs and OSHA compliance
Lead safety briefings and ensure all personnel follow proper procedures
Serve as the primary point of contact for developers, EPCs, utilities, and local authorities
Support landowner relations and community engagement during construction
Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and change order records
Participate in equipment receipt, inspection, and inventory tracking
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in Houston and the international development team in Madrid, ensuring effective communication and alignment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Electrical Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience managing large-scale renewable energy projects
Strong knowledge of solar/wind/BESS construction practices and permitting
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing complex workflows and deadlines
Spanish language proficiency is a plus
