The Opportunity
As a Production Equipment Technician on
DAY SHIFT (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) , you'll work alongside experienced Plant Engineers maintaining fully-automated bakery production equipment. This role offers a unique advancement structure: Mechanic Level 1 → Level 2 → Level 3, with clearly defined technical milestones and substantial pay increases at each tier. Your technical skills and problem‑solving abilities will directly impact production efficiency while you build expertise on specialized industrial systems.
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, and bearings
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability
Diagnose and repair complex industrial systems including PLCs, drives, and automated controls
Perform both mechanical and electrical maintenance on specialized bakery manufacturing equipment
Work within food safety protocols including GFSI, GMPs, and HARPC compliance
Complete detailed shift documentation and maintenance logs
Partner with Plant Engineers to implement continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environments (food, pharmaceutical, packaging, automotive, or similar production facilities)
Strong mechanical AND electrical troubleshooting skills (must have foundation in both areas)
Experience with PLC‑controlled automated equipment and production systems
Proven ability to handle production downtime urgency and execute emergency repairs
Positive attitude with strong problem‑solving capabilities and team collaboration skills
Ability to work 12-hour Day shifts on 2‑2‑3 rotation schedule
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Qualifications
Food or beverage manufacturing experience with FDA/USDA compliance knowledge
Background with Siemens or Rockwell automated equipment
Forklift and scissor lift certifications
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
