Overview
Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the RN Navigator coordinates cancer patient care and acts as a patient advocate. This includes monitoring patients through screening/diagnostic evaluation, assisting them with navigation through healthcare systems, providing education and emotional care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being, and identification and support in the development of programs and services to enhance patient care and support. The RN Navigator also provides education for general surgery patients.
Responsibilities
Coordinate cancer patient care and advocate for patients under the supervision of the Nurse Manager.
Monitor patients through screening and diagnostic evaluation.
Assist patients with navigation through healthcare systems.
Provide education and emotional support to promote life and well-being.
Identify and support development of programs and services to enhance patient care and support.
Provide education for general surgery patients.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
California Registered Nurse License
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
3 years clinical nursing experience as Registered Nurse
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
3 years outpatient experience in a healthcare setting
Oncology experience

Pay and Benefits
Pay range for this position is $56.50 - $90.33. Providence offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) with employer match, health care benefits, life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, and other voluntary benefits.
