What You'll Do
Conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs
Assist clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools
Collaborate consistently with clinical staff to keep track of client challenges and progress
Escalate any significant client concerns to the Clinical Director
Maintain thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted
Ensure all clinical assessments and individual client charting is completed
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required; Master's degree preferred
Valid state licensure/certification necessary to practice in this role, e.g., ADT
Substance abuse experience required
Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles
Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality
Where You'll Work
Avenues Recovery Center at Eastern Shore is a 100-bed residential facility that offers inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation services. Our expansive building is newly renovated, modern and appealing, providing a true hotel-like experience. Set on 7.74 acres of picturesque and secluded property, the facility offers an ideal setting for clients to heal, reconnect and rediscover themselves. Our multidisciplinary staff includes therapists, clinicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, addictions counselors and behavioral health technicians trained in all key therapeutic modalities and committed to compassionate, dignified and unsurpassed care each day.
