We are seeking an individual who will work closely with pharmacy management to help oversee daily operations, drive quality enhancement, and cost‑saving strategies within a Long‑Term Care environment. The Pharmacist in Charge will offer clinical and technical expertise to both pharmacy and regional staff, helping to strengthen a coordinated, team‑oriented approach to care.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am–6:00pm w/ rotating weekends

As a Pharmacist In Charge you will:

Ensure full compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards.

Supervise and direct pharmacy staff in key operational areas including scheduling, purchasing, and clinical responsibilities.

Collaborate with pharmacy management to implement efficient daily operations and quality improvement or cost containment strategies.

Provide clinical and technical support to pharmacy and regional staff, fostering a team‑based care model.

Respond promptly and accurately to pharmaceutical inquiries from customers and internal staff, interpreting clinical needs and providing expert advice.

Maintain comprehensive patient records, including medical history, lab data, and concurrent medications (including OTC and alternative therapies).

Accurately document all communications with healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers in the pharmacy system.

Secure and maintain necessary documentation to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and corporate policies.

Enforce safe practices for the procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of medications and biological products.

Document all communications and clinical interventions in the patient’s medical record, including interactions with families and caregivers.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the pharmacy team and patient care goals.

Qualifications
Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm or equivalent)

Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice

Demonstrated pharmacy experience

In‑depth knowledge of pharmacy laws and both federal and state regulations related to long‑term care

Familiarity with pharmaceutical care practices for long‑term care residents

Proficiency in computer use, including pharmacy management systems

Desired

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

Experience in long‑term care pharmacy settings
