As a
Weatherization Installation Crew Person , you'll play an important role in improving energy efficiency in qualified low-income residential homes. You'll install energy-saving upgrades in accordance with Weatherization and industry standards - helping homeowners reduce their energy costs and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do & What You Bring
Install energy-efficient improvements such as doors, windows, ducts, surface sealants, vapor barriers, insulation, framing, sheet rock, and exhaust fans.
Perform minor residential repairs on single-family and manufactured homes.
Ensure all work meets Weatherization and safety standards.
Regularly engage with homeowners in a courteous and professional manner.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Experience in construction or residential repair work.
Strong people skills and professionalism when working with homeowners and team members.
Good judgment and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage projects efficiently and work independently or as part of a team.
Proactive and results-oriented approach to completing assignments.
Knowledge of building materials and their proper use.
Familiarity with Weatherization Performance Standards (preferred).
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Driver's License.
Ability to pass a respirator fit test.
Minimum 2 years of residential construction experience (insulation, framing, remodeling, or related work).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work takes place in varied environments, including offices, interior workspaces, and outdoor settings in both hot and cold weather.
Frequent walking, standing, climbing, lifting, stooping, and carrying of tools and materials.
Regularly lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Travel Requirements
Regular travel between agency locations and clients' residences.
Occasional in‑state and out‑of‑state travel for training.
Must maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license and be eligible for agency vehicle insurance.
