Job Description
Position: Analyst I – Environmental Testing Laboratory (Earth City, MO)
Full‑time year‑round positions, first shift (also 2nd and 3rd shifts available). Compensation $18–20/hour (DOE) plus benefits and growth opportunities.
We are seeking entry‑level candidates who live within commuting distance to Earth City, MO. The Analyst I will prepare and analyze environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofins Quality Assurance programs and SOPs.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
Perform routine lab tasks to gain experience and familiarity with methods, practices, and programs, including:
Preparation of samples using standard techniques.
Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques.
Calculating data.
Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor.
Performing routine instrument maintenance.
Perform job functions in compliance with Eurofins’ EHS and QA standards.
Maintain general housekeeping in the work area.
Become proficient on complex instrumentation including gas chromatography, GC/MS, atomic absorption, ICP, and instrument-specific data systems.
Work under close supervision using routine and standard methods.
Aliquot and weigh samples.
Wash glassware.
Conduct all activities safely and efficiently.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to use calculator/mathematical formulas.

Follow and learn protocols in disciplines such as organic preparation, metals preparation and analysis, GC, GC/MS, radio‑chemistry, wet chemistry, high‑resolution, and low‑resolution preparation and analysis.
Qualifications
Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience.
Experience in an environmental lab is a plus.
1–2 years of preparation/analytical experience preferred.
Effective communication skills and ability to relate well to people.
Positive attitude toward quality, service, and safety procedures.
Sound reasoning, good judgment, and decision‑making abilities.
Strong organization and problem‑solving skills.
Detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Versatility and flexibility in dealing with people.
Ability to synthesize and retain information.
Computer skills; experience with LIMs software a plus.
Basic math skills including multiplication, division, and algebra.
Work independently.
Work within time constraints.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Perform other duties as assigned.
