Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Material Handler – Full‑time. Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday‑Friday, alternating weekends & holidays. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all materials within the medical center, including receiving, storing, moving, issuing, and maintaining all work areas and equipment, and taking inventories. Attendance and punctuality are essential.
Job Responsibilities
Receiving, unloading, and loading of all materials including linen.
Operation of manual and automatic jacks.
Perform other material duties as requested by supervisor.
Attach, identify tags or labels to materials upon receipt and record disposition, if applicable.
Process carts through decontamination units and properly dispose of soiled materials.
Maintain an efficient and clean workplace of all materials‑management equipment and work areas.
Pack and ship materials as ordered.
Store and care for materials and equipment in a proper, safe, and sanitary manner.
Adhere to scheduling of par locations.
Load and deliver materials throughout the medical center.
Process delivery care and handheld technology in storerooms and clinical areas.
Maintain inventories, report all shortages, overages, system balances, and corrective action when necessary.
Record transactions for all supplies and deliveries from and to materials management.
Care for and operate material‑handling equipment in a prudent manner.
Properly distribute materials throughout the medical center.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and distribution strongly preferred.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Basic math skills required (simple sums).
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
