Job Overview
The Small Animal Hospital is seeking a veterinary technician who is enthusiastic about providing support to a variety of specialty services with an emphasis on small animal reproduction. The technician will assist with exams, provide specialty care under the direction of faculty veterinarians, coordinate schedules, provide clinical instruction and demonstration to veterinary students, and support client service and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
Assist with patient medical evaluations, routine and specialty patient nursing care, record keeping, laboratory sample collection, and fee capture.
Maintain inventory, replenish stock, and ensure proper storage of specialized equipment.
Assist with client inquiries, client education, appointment and diagnostic scheduling, and prepare medical information uploads.
Assist in teaching students, including student orientation sessions.
Qualifications
Veterinary Technician I:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience.
Veterinary Technician II:
Credentialed veterinary technician.
Preferred Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or graduated from an accredited American Veterinary Medical Association program for veterinary technology.
Credentialed veterinary technician.
Benefits
This is a full‑time, benefited position that offers limited benefits including health insurance and paid time off. Upon achieving appropriate certifications, promotion opportunities to a Level II title may be available, and the position may become eligible for a TEAMS staff salary plan.

Health assessment required: Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, pulling, pushing, twisting and standing for extended periods.
