American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum) night shift position in New Braunfels, TX, requiring fetal monitoring certification and at least 1 year of perinatal nursing experience.

LDRP unit combining labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care within a hospital setting
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Full-time, 13-week travel contract
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
Requirements
Active RN license in TX or through a compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only)
Current NRP certification required
Current fetal heart monitoring certification required from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required (Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor)
Minimum 1 year of perinatal or L&D nursing experience preferred
BSN preferred
US Social Security Number required for consideration
2 professional references required for consideration
Current, active copies of all certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
Provides nursing care utilizing the full nursing process - assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation - for perinatal patients
Administers medications and treatments per protocol and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers
New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member with competency validation completed during onboarding, including both organizational and Perinatal Services-specific requirements
All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days
Experience in a perinatal RN residency or recent practice in a perinatal setting is preferred
