About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Insurance Defense Paralegal
to join our growing litigation team. This position supports attorneys handling insurance defense matters, including personal injury, property damage, and general liability claims. The ideal candidate is highly organized, deadline-driven, and experienced in managing complex case files in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and subpoenas
Manage case files from inception through trial preparation
Coordinate and track deadlines, court filings, and hearing dates
Summarize medical, billing, employment, and expert records
Assist with depositions, including preparing exhibits and summaries
Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, experts, and court personnel
Conduct legal research and assist with trial preparation
Maintain accurate billing entries and time records
Qualifications
Paralegal Certificate preferred
1+ years of insurance defense or civil litigation experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
Preferred Skills
Experience summarizing medical records
Familiarity with billing guidelines and insurance carrier reporting requirements
Trial experience is a plus
