HR Operations Coordinator (Contract)

We are seeking an HR Operations Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis, supporting day-to-day HR operations during a team member’s leave of absence. This role will begin with a structured training period to ensure a smooth transition and continuity across key HR processes.

What You’ll Be Doing
Onboarding & New Hire Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires throughout the onboarding process
Coordinate onboarding communications, meeting scheduling, and task completion
Manage the onboarding inbox and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Ensure all required compliance and new hire documentation is completed accurately and on time
Background Checks & Compliance
Track and monitor background check completion, following up as needed to ensure timelines are met
Escalate any issues to appropriate teams to maintain compliance
Maintain and manage I-9 documentation, including initial verification and re-verification processes
Payroll & HR Operations Support
Assist with payroll and timekeeping tasks as needed
Process one-time payments in HR systems, ensuring accuracy and approvals
Employee & Manager Support
Provide responsive, high-quality support to employees and managers
Address inquiries with professionalism and a customer-service mindset
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting onboarding and/or background check processes
Familiarity with HR systems (Workday experience is a plus)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving approach
Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
