Assistant Project Manager (APM)
to support our Project Managers in delivering exceptional results on complex custom residential projects in Manhattan, NY.
This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive within an elite, fast‑paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with project
scope, budget, schedule, and quality
monitoring.
Review and interpret architectural, MEP, lighting, and structural drawings.
Conduct quantity take‑offs and assist with job costing and budget updates.
Support subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and communication.
Prepare and track
submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and procurement logs .
Participate in site meetings and prepare meeting minutes and agendas.
Assist with maintaining project documentation, progress photos, and daily reports.
Help enforce jobsite organization, safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
Support punch‑list completion and project closeout documentation.
Communicate professionally with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
2+ years
of experience in residential construction or construction project support (high‑end or custom residential experience strongly).
Ability to read and understand architectural and construction drawings.
Basic understanding of budgets, schedules, and construction documentation.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
Professional, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take direction.
Proficiency in
MS Excel, Outlook, Word .
Experience with
MS Project or Procore
is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and ability to attend site meetings in Manhattan, NY.
