
Assistant Project Manager

BEAR Construction Company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role assists with project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution
Review bid packages, contracts, and project documentation for accuracy
Assist in managing subcontractors, field teams, and project communications
Monitor project progress, costs, and schedules
Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and superintendents
Assist with change orders, reporting, and project controls
Conduct site visits and support quality and safety compliance
Provide administrative and technical support to project leadership
Qualifications:
2+ years of construction experience (Project Engineer or similar role)
Construction Management or Engineering degree preferred
Experience with construction management software (P6, MS Project, etc.)
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and estimating
OSHA safety knowledge preferred
Proficiency in MS Office
Detail‑oriented and team‑focused mindset
