About the Role
Goodpack is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our Americas team, based in Houston. This role works closely with the Global Procurement and Freight teams at our Singapore headquarters, supporting regional procurement activities while aligning with global strategies and standards. You will play a key role in managing logistics sourcing, driving cost efficiencies, and strengthening supplier performance across the Americas.
General Procurement
Manage end-to-end procurement activities across the Americas region, covering logistics and indirect spend categories (e.g. IT, office equipment)
Execute and ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and governance standards in alignment with HQ
Lead sourcing initiatives including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
Apply Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) principles to drive cost savings, cost control, and value creation
Support and manage contract lifecycle activities, ensuring visibility, compliance, and accountability
Ensure negotiations follow global procurement standards, approval thresholds, and best practices to minimise cost leakage and maximise value
Maintain and manage procurement data in SAP, including rate uploads and tradelane records
Establish and monitor rate governance to ensure alignment between negotiated rates and actual costs
Collaborate with global procurement teams to implement best practices and standardisation
Partner with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, HR) to align procurement strategies with business needs
Monitor market trends, economic conditions, and supply risks to inform sourcing strategies
Logistics Procurement & Vendor Management (Trucking & Depots)
Manage and develop relationships with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), including trucking and depot partners
Negotiate competitive rates and commercial terms with logistics providers across the region
Drive supplier performance through KPI tracking, regular reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
Deliver procurement savings through effective vendor management and strategic sourcing
Analyse logistics spend to identify optimisation and cost reduction opportunities
Ensure service reliability, cost competitiveness, and compliance from logistics vendors
Review and improve rate management processes (updates, adjustments, extensions, approvals) to eliminate inefficiencies
Lead supplier review processes to ensure ongoing performance improvement and value delivery
Interface regularly with internal and external stakeholders on logistics and operational issues
Identify and develop regional supplier alternatives to optimise cost and resilience
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field
Minimum
5 years of relevant experience
in procurement, preferably within logistics or supply chain
Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and trend analysis
Proficient in
Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint ; SAP experience is an advantage
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work effectively across regions and cultures
Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
