A leading semiconductor equipment manufacturing is seeking a
Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator
and you will be working both
Austin TX and Taylor TX.
In this role, you will be the backbone of our procurement and shipping operations, ensuring that critical components move seamlessly across global borders while maintaining strict compliance with trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
End-to-End Purchasing:
Independently prepare and process purchase requisitions, POs, change orders, and RFQs.
Strategic Sourcing:
Evaluate supplier quotations and select partners based on cost, lead time, technical specifications, and total value.
Negotiation:
Drive financial and operational goals by negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and freight terms.
Discrepancy Resolution:
Reconcile POs, receipts, and invoices, working closely with internal teams and suppliers to resolve any variances.
Compliance & Systems:
Ensure all activity aligns with company policy and industry standards; utilize customer procurement portals for reporting and communication.
Global Trade & Compliance
Documentation:
Oversee the preparation and approval of all export/import and domestic shipping documents.
Regulatory Guidance:
Apply
EAR, ITAR, and HTS classifications
to ensure proper labeling, packaging, and legal compliance.
Customs Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact for customs brokers, providing necessary clarifications and documentation to avoid delays.
Audit Readiness:
Maintain comprehensive compliance records and generate reports for insurance and regulatory inquiries.
Logistics & Shipment Management
Strategic Planning:
Select optimal carriers and freight forwarders based on a balance of cost, urgency, and risk.
Proactive Monitoring:
Track shipments globally, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions to meet delivery commitments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3–5 years of experience in logistics, export/import, or supply chain coordination, ideally in semiconductor, electronics, or high tech manufacturing.
