Vaco has partnered with a private equity-backed company that is planning for rapid growth and seeking an experienced Corporate Development Manager on an interim basis. This consultant will play a critical role in leading and executing the company's M&A strategy during a period of active expansion. The ideal candidate brings deep analytical rigor, strong financial modeling skills, and experience supporting transactions in SaaS and recurring revenue environments. This engagement is expected to last 6-9 months, with potential to convert to a permanent role.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage all corporate development and M&A activities from initial evaluation through close
Build detailed cash flow models, valuation analyses, and financial models to support transaction decisions
Develop and manage transaction timelines, workstreams, and deal review processes
Coordinate and oversee the full due diligence process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
Manage the virtual data room and ensure accuracy, organization, and completeness of deal materials
Partner with executive leadership to evaluate acquisition targets, capital formation options, and strategic alternatives
Prepare and present transaction analyses, scenarios, and recommendations to the board and executive team
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Proven experience in corporate development, M&A, or transaction advisory roles
Strong familiarity with SaaS businesses and recurring revenue models
Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Experience supporting due diligence, capital formation, and transaction execution
Prior experience in a private equity-backed environment required
Investment banking background strongly preferred
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with multiple concurrent workstreams
