About the role
As a Data Analyst (Pyspark and SQL), you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, cloud‑based analytics and data engineering solutions that support high‑demand, enterprise applications. You will be a valued member of Cognizant’s
Digital Engineering
team and work closely with product managers, technical leads, designers, and client stakeholders to deliver reliable, high‑quality software that drives business value.
In this role, you will:
Design and implement effective Analytics solutions and models that are deployed in Cloud platforms (Azure/GCP).
Examine business requirements and provide solutions. Interact with TPM, Tech Lead and should be able to lead the conversation.
Build the application based on business requirement by following Industry coding standards along with writing unit testcases and meet or exceed coverage % defined by the project.
Make sure the features built are successfully tested and deployed to production.
Implement proper monitoring solutions that are recommended by the Client.
Understand and document the design, service specifications that are built for the application. Guidance to developers in preparing functional/technical specs.

What you need to have to be considered
6 to 7+ years of experience in Pyspark is must, SCALA, Advanced SQL, Airflow pipelines, Visual Reports like PowerBi, looker studio and any Cloud Platform (GCP is +).
Strong Experience in SQL (BQ is +)
Strong Experience in Python
Hands on experience or Knowledge in designing Large Scale application/High Volume experience would be good
These will help you stand out
Experience with
Google BigQuery
Knowledge of
Scala
Experience with visualization tools such as
Power BI
or
Looker Studio
Exposure to enterprise‑scale data platforms and production‑grade analytics systems

Compensation
The annual salary for this position ranges from
$68,422 to $131,500 , depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
