About the role

As a Data Analyst (Pyspark and SQL), you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, cloud‑based analytics and data engineering solutions that support high‑demand, enterprise applications. You will be a valued member of Cognizant’s

Digital Engineering

team and work closely with product managers, technical leads, designers, and client stakeholders to deliver reliable, high‑quality software that drives business value.
In this role, you will:

Design, build, and deploy large‑scale analytics and data engineering solutions on cloud platforms such as

Google Cloud Platform (preferred)

or

Azure
Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions, leading discussions with product and technical stakeholders as needed
Develop applications using industry‑standard coding practices, including writing unit tests and meeting defined code coverage targets
Ensure features are thoroughly tested, monitored, and successfully deployed to production environments
Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions in alignment with client recommendations
Document system designs and service specifications, and provide guidance to development teams on functional and technical documentation

What you need to have to be considered

6+ years of hands‑on experience in

Python development
Strong experience with

PySpark ,

SQL ,

advanced data queries , and

Airflow pipelines
Experience building analytics or data engineering solutions on cloud platforms (GCP or Azure)
Hands‑on experience or solid understanding of designing

large‑scale, high‑volume applications
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical solutions clearly
These will help you stand out

Experience with

Google BigQuery
Knowledge of

Scala
Experience with visualization tools such as

Power BI

or

Looker Studio
Exposure to enterprise‑scale data platforms and production‑grade analytics systems

Compensation

The annual salary for this position ranges from

$68,422 to $131,500 , depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to performance and applicable plan terms.
