SKIMS Planning Analyst

We are seeking a talented and analytical Planning Analyst to join our dynamic team at SKIMS. The Planning Analyst will play a crucial role in optimizing our inventory management, demand forecasting, and production planning processes. This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for fashion and retail.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business strategies

Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, analyze sell-through data, and identify potential overstock or understock situations. Develop strategies to optimize inventory turnover and reduce holding costs

Production Planning: Work closely with production teams to ensure production schedules align with demand forecasts and inventory targets. Coordinate and communicate any changes or adjustments as needed

Data Analysis: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract insights, identify opportunities, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance supply chain efficiency and product availability

Reporting: Create regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs) related to planning, inventory, and demand forecasting. Present findings to leadership teams

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Design, and Production, to align planning efforts with business goals and initiatives

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance planning and forecasting accuracy. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., APICS) is a plus

2+ years of experience in demand forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain planning, preferably in the fashion or retail industry

Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and forecasting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to make informed decisions

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Detail-oriented and highly organized

Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 / year
