Our client, a leading organization in the technology and cloud services industry, is seeking a Software Design Engineer 5 to join their team. As a Software Design Engineer 5, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative hardware and software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Software Design Engineer 5

Location: Redmond, WA (hybrid work model with 2-3 days onsite per week)

Pay Range: 55-60/hr

What's the Job?

Design, develop, and implement advanced hardware and software solutions for security-related projects within Windows and Linux environments.
Contribute to the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of server hardware and software components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability.
Document technical specifications, test plans, and results to support continuous improvement and compliance.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and project planning to meet organizational goals.
What's Needed? Minimum of 8+ years experience in data center/server hardware testing and development.
Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps (ADO) workflows.
Strong debugging skills and the ability to adapt to changing project priorities.
Experience with open-source projects and familiarity with Rust is a plus.
