Gather is modern software for funeral homes — combining case management, websites, obituary publishing, live streaming, and revenue tools into one platform.


About the Role

We’re looking for a driven Account Executive to manage the full sales cycle — from first conversation through close — while acting as a trusted advisor to funeral home owners and directors.

This role includes a mix of virtual selling and visiting funeral homes in-person within your local territory.


What You’ll Do

  • Run full-cycle sales: discovery, demo, follow-up, and close
  • Deliver virtual demos tailored to each prospect
  • Manage and maintain a healthy pipeline in HubSpot
  • Keep strong CRM hygiene (notes, next steps, deal updates)
  • Follow up consistently via call, email, and SMS
  • Prospect into accounts through a mix of outbound and inbound leads
  • Conduct in-person visits to funeral homes to build relationships and generate opportunities


What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of sales experience (SaaS preferred OR Funeral Director experience)
  • Strong understanding of sales fundamentals (pipeline management, discovery, closing)
  • Comfortable using tools like HubSpot, Zoom/Google Meet, JustCall, Slack
  • Excellent communication skills — clear, confident, and professional with customers and teammates
  • Strong work ethic and accountability — self-motivated, consistent, and results-driven
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through
  • Ability to collaborate well with others across sales, marketing, and customer teams
  • Willingness to prospect in person and build relationships locally

Highly Preferred:

  • Experience in the funeral home / death care industry
  • Former funeral director or operator
