Speech and Language Pathologist in Lakeside, CA

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time, contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position supports students in a K-5 elementary school located in Lakeside, CA. The assignment runs from August 5, 2024, through June 12, 2025, with a work schedule of 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include delivering direct SLP services to a caseload of 46 students, including those with Speech IEPs and moderate/severe SDC speech services. The role requires conducting assessments, writing reports, and participating in IEP meetings to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans. Candidates who are Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellows (CFY) will be considered, and the employer is open to hiring an SLPA assistant if a fully credentialed SLP is not available. This position requires on-site, in-person services; teletherapy or hybrid arrangements are not offered.

Desired qualifications and experience:

Valid SLP credentials, including SLP - CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)

Previous experience working with school-aged children in grades TK through 5

Ability to manage a caseload of diverse students requiring speech therapy within a school setting

Strong skills in administering speech and language assessments, report writing, and IEP collaboration

Bilingual candidates are highly desirable and may have an advantage during the hiring process
