About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director of Estate and Planned Giving to lead the management and enhancement of a strategic program focused on securing gifts through various planned giving vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a multi-year strategic plan, setting priorities, and working closely with centralized and unit-based fundraising staff, as well as the Alumni Association, to meet organizational goals. This pivotal role involves the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major and principal level gift prospects, both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. The Executive Director will also oversee marketing initiatives for planned giving and work in coordination with University and Foundation leadership.

Applicants for the Executive Director position should be accomplished, experienced, strategic, and collaborative. The role requires a candidate who can centralize strategy, cultivate, and secure planned gifts, and is adept at building the University's endowment. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative thinker, able to share knowledge with gift officers and prospects, and will play a key role in activating alumni and friends as lifelong ambassadors in building a meaningful legacy.
