Student Audio-Visual Technician
As a Student Audio-Visual Technician, you will provide technical help with a wide array of audio‑visual equipment to customers and guests of the Kellogg Center. You will also be responsible for keeping all audio and video equipment running smoothly, including flat‑screen televisions, projectors, sound systems, and laptops. It is your job to ensure the Kellogg Center receives the best possible customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance for a wide array of audio‑visual equipment to customers and guests.

Maintain and troubleshoot flat‑screen televisions, projectors, sound systems, and laptops.

Ensure all audio and video equipment runs smoothly and provides the best possible customer service.

Required Qualifications

Enrolled as a student at Michigan State University during the academic year.

Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service.

Motivated self‑starter able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.

Good written and verbal communication skills; positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population.

Dependable and punctual.

Some audio‑visual experience or technical aptitude.

Able to occasionally work nights and/or weekends.

Must be available to work during Summer 2026 and ideally through Fall 2026 semesters.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional audio‑visual experience working on projectors, microphones, sound systems, etc.

Physical Demands
Must be able to move up to 20 pounds.

Work Hours

15–20 hours per week.

Variable depending on operational needs – including evenings, weekends, holidays, and university breaks.
