Job Summary
The video journalist is an entry‑level, yet critical part of the newsroom. The position is responsible for conducting interviews in the field with community members, shooting video of various events, and creating and writing content for broadcast and digital platforms. A video journalist works in the field to create content for both broadcast and digital platforms each day. Video journalists will shoot, write, and edit content as assigned. Ideal candidates are ambitious, detail‑oriented, organized, able to work independently, and can complete multiple tasks while meeting several deadlines. Candidates should possess strong writing and communication skills and work well in a team environment.
