General Sales Manager

Essential Functions:

Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and serving as an example of living our Umpqua Dairy/Shehadey Family Foods purpose and core values.
Direct the effective, efficient sales and delivery of fluid dairy and dairy byproducts to assigned national and regional Accounts for our Umpqua division.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive contact list (Account Wiring) to ensure effective customer management.
Develop strategies with timelines to ensure core branded as well as new products are represented in all assigned accounts.
Using the authorized product list, ensure complete branded offerings are represented in all accounts (Distribution void reports).
Develop timely strategies to ensure minimum adequate deliveries, while analyzing and recommending service refinements or reductions to account manager(s).
Communicate and work closely with Replenishment to ensure adequate store inventories while minimizing stales, thus maximizing the net margins of our branded product portfolio.
Regularly review account performance and service fulfillment results with the General Manager when preparing customer business reviews and develop appropriate messaging for opportunities/solutions.
Collaborate with Marketing Team and GM on all marketing and promotional activities in the area, with primary objectives of:
Increased sales driving sufficient lift to meet increased profitability goals.
Company and brand awareness
Strengthening retailer/supplier partnership

Complete, as assigned by General Manager, all sales/customer reporting, expense documents and other reports deemed necessary to enhance the sales effort.
Lead and participate in AR collection with accounting team in Bi-weekly AR Review meetings with GM and Branch Operations Manager.
Manage and drive Business development, optimizing multiple product categories, terms agreements with existing and targeted prospects, bidding terms/process with government agencies.
Perform strategic sales management; business to consumer, utilizing multiple information sources and tactics.
Create innovative sales programs, identify and act on selling opportunities, responding to competitor activities, making effective sales presentations and making effective use of sales data.
Support company growth initiatives with developed strategic objectives including clear and concise action plans.
Drive revenue growth by maximizing sales strategy to grow brand/product revenue, market share, and profit.
Grow business by anticipating customer needs, determining appropriate solutions to business problems, and providing an overall high level of customer service.
Meet potential new customers by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Effectively communicate with VP of Sales and General Manager regarding accounts, competition, business opportunities and business developments.
Review market research to anticipate competition and market trends and translate consumer attitudes into new branding directions.
Develop and supports overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products.
Engage Cross Functionally in vetting the pricing strategy of RFP opportunities.
Collaborate with General Manager in negotiating contractual supply agreement opportunities.
Conduct activities in a safe manner, following company safety guidelines and requirements and proactively address any unsafe conditions observed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check and physical/agility test.
OCCASIONAL DUTIES

Meet with branch teams/sales reps quarterly as well as on a yearly basis for performance evaluations
Provide team members with the opportunity to voice concerns and ideas for improvement.
Communicate with team members to ensure they understand the company direction and expectations.
Monitor and communicate with General Manager sales opportunities and Umpqua shelf space in existing stores to maximize the sales potential of our dairy or ice cream sets.
Actively participate in interviews for new sales personnel.
Assist with budgets and sales yearly.
Meet with General Manager for performance review and goal setting.

Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range $125,000-$140,000 DOE
