Job Summary
WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News in Jackson, Tennessee, is looking for an Anchor/Reporter to join the No. 1 Weekend Team in West Tennessee. Our anchors connect with the viewers, having an energetic approach to delivering the news. You will need a strong on-air presence and the ability to carry the show when needed. Must work well with your team to build a cohesive and enjoyable team to watch.
Responsibilities
Connect with viewers through an energetic on-air presence.
Carry the show and deliver the news with clarity and enthusiasm.
Work collaboratively with the team to build a cohesive and enjoyable broadcast.
Own stories, break news, and cover severe weather as required.
Develop and maintain personal beats and sources.
Carry 40 pounds of gear and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications & Requirements
A four-year degree in broadcast journalism, communications, or related field is preferred.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
