The role requires a hybrid schedule, based in our NYC office Tuesday through Thursday, with full remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

What You'll Do

Develop the strategy behind TPG’s TikTok and Reels presence: what we make, why we make it, and how it evolves.

Collaborate with creators and on‑camera talent—write the brief and set the strategic direction; they execute.

Create a forward‑looking content calendar that connects platform moments, trends, and TPG’s editorial priorities.

Produce clear, usable briefs that translate strategy into something a creator can execute without guesswork.

Maintain an ongoing read of the algorithm: what’s being rewarded, what’s losing steam, and what that means for us.

Analyze performance beyond surface metrics, turning insights into decisions about scaling, fixing, or stopping content.

Manage a test‑and‑learn pipeline: evaluate formats, hooks, structures; produce actionable takeaways.

Integrate tightly with editorial, spotting pipeline content that can become short‑form and making it platform‑native.

Stay competitive: monitor industry and identify opportunities for TPG to stand apart.

Provide a clear POV on social SEO: ensure our content appears in search, not just in feed.

What We're Looking For

3+ years working in social strategy, with real ownership of TikTok and/or Reels for a brand or publisher.

A track record of turning trends and algorithm signals into high‑performing content decisions.

Comfort with data, translating metrics into clear viewpoints.

Experience running a content calendar in a fast‑moving environment.

Strong writing: briefs are sharp, thinking clear, recommendations hold up.

Genuine familiarity with points, miles, and travel rewards culture.

Understanding of how social ties to audience growth and revenue, not just engagement.

Experience working within compliance or editorial guidelines for financial or regulated content.

Nice To Haves

Editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar). Can step in when needed.

Experience with a strategist + creator model.

Background in travel, personal finance, affiliate, or performance‑driven content.

Success looks like a deliberate short‑form presence that feels intentional, not reactive. The content consistently shows up in the right moments: early to trends, aligned with platform behavior and clearly connected to TPG’s editorial priorities. There’s a strong, recognizable point of view across TikTok and Reels, with formats and storytelling approaches that are distinctly “ours,” not interchangeable with competitors. You can point to what’s working, why it’s working and how that insight is shaping what comes next.

Success also shows in how decisions get made. The content calendar is proactive and grounded in strategy, briefs are clear enough to unlock better creative, and performance reporting leads to real changes: scaling what resonates, refining what’s close, and cutting what doesn’t. Over time, this role builds something the algorithm can’t replicate: a recognizable presence that earns attention because it’s genuinely useful, not just timely.

Compensation
This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
