Vice President, Marketing & Communications Manager

Job Responsibilities:

Requirements:

7-10 years of marketing leadership experience

Strong understanding of digital marketing advertising platforms

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, news media or relevant field

Good understanding of Google Ads and Analytics; Google Ads certification preferred

Experience using a social media management tool like Sprout Social, HootSuite, or something comparable

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

POSITION TITLE: DEPARTMENT: REPORTS TO:

Communications Manager

SUMMARY:

Leads and manages the Bank’s overall marketing, branding, and communication strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while overseeing a team, campaigns, and stakeholder engagement. This role should elevate the Bank’s presence, identify and engage target audiences effectively, and determine the demand for products and services through market analysis and segmentation to target potential customers.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies that align with brand objectives and Bank goals

Collaborate with business units and retail branch managers to develop integrated marketing campaigns that drive business development goals

Oversee digital presence through website content, social media channels, and advertising campaigns

Coordinate strategies to identify target-market groups/businesses to support new business development/prospecting activities

Monitor competitor offerings, rate changes, fintech trends, and customer behavior, translating insights into product positioning, pricing communication, and customer experience improvements

Monitor trends to respond to changes in the market and to capitalize on emerging, underserved or specialty markets to support growth in market share

Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies

Analyze campaign performance and marketing metrics to generate data-driven insights for future strategy optimization

Manage public relations initiatives through press releases, community events and community organizations

Provides oversight of marketing budgets and ROI analysis, reporting findings to committee.

Lead and manage the marketing and communications team while mentoring and developing talent

Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven culture within the marketing and communications department

Performs other duties as assigned

NECESSARY SKILLS:

Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, successfully introducing progressive ideas and independently managing a workload with multiple priorities

Strong understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to think creatively and innovatively

Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges

Expertise in digital marketing, SEO/SEM, social media, analytics tools, and campaign management

Strong leadership, strategic thinking, creativity, communication, stakeholder management, project management, and problem-solving abilities

Skilled collaborator with experience partnering across departments within an organization, preferably a financial institution

Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to inform strategy and improve marketing performance

Strong organizational skills and the ability to be flexible

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

8-10 years of strategic marketing/communications management experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations preferred
