Lecturer Pool for Department of Public Affairs and Administration AY 26-27

Part‑Time Lecturer Pool Position
California State University, East Bay’s Department of Public Affairs and Administration seeks one or more temporary, part‑time lecturers to fill a pool from which faculty will be considered for appointments as opportunities become available for the Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027.

Responsibilities

Teach a wide range of Health Care Administration and Public Administration courses, primarily on weeknights.

Courses may be taught on campus (Hayward, Concord Center) or online.

Qualifications

Hold (or be near completion of) a PhD, DrPH in health care, health care administration/management, a PhD or DPA in public administration, or a doctoral degree in a closely related field.

Administrators and practitioners with an MS HCA, MPH, MHA, MPA, MBA, JD, or other professional degree and significant practical experience are also considered for courses in their areas of expertise.

Teaching and course development experience is desirable, especially experience with fully online or partially online courses.

Rank & Salary
Lecturer. Salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.

Lecturer AY (Range 2): $5,507 – $6,677

Lecturer AY (Range 3): $6,221 – $13,224

Lecturer AY (Range 4): $6,825 – $14,523

Lecturer AY (Range 5): $8,593 – $15,211

Dates
Fall Semester begins August 17, 2026; Spring Semester begins January 19, 2027.
