Job Description
Interacts with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, and field personnel.
Assembles and tests all components and equipment for safety and productivity before they are put into production; detects problems, such as mechanical errors, safety issues, and inefficiencies; debugs and provides potential solutions in processes, products, and equipment; and attempts to troubleshoot any issues, using technical knowledge.
Ensures products are working exactly as intended and are free of defects or other issues.
Performs equipment setup, operation, tests, calibrations, adjustments, and minor preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment.
Performs onsite and/or offsite Field testing for Day and/or Night data collection.
Accurately record information into the traveler documentation.
Maintains quality standards by inspecting and testing finished products, prior to full-scale production and periodically afterwards, to ensure conformance with specifications and codes.
Maintains production machines and equipment, and ensures equipment and work floor are clean, safe, and well maintained.
Preferred skills
Computer savvy
Programming skills (python, C++, Mathematica) are a bonus, not required
Prior experience working with electronics and optics is a bonus, not required
