Assistant Editor
ESPN's Audience Engagement team is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Editor in support of our delivery of video content to multiple digital platforms, including mobile, web and OTTs. Primary responsibilities include creation of custom artwork viewable by ESPN fans for unauthenticated and authenticated VOD and Live airings.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Editor will work across internal teams to troubleshoot unexpected behavior on the streaming app during live windows
The Assistant Editor will work with senior shift leaders to execute on-platform tasks such as metadata updates, platform moves, and schedule/event quality control
The Assistant Editor will be given a sport assignment along with a senior member of the team – Responsibilities include custom creative needs, tentpole awareness and planning, and communication with internal partners.
The Assistant Editor will create VOD and Live airing custom artwork using design software such as Photoshop, ensure it is accurately uploaded into central art software and displaying correctly across all digital platforms
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 years' experience in sports digital media/and or marketing
Experience in digital content management systems
General Photoshop skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple and varied tasks
Strong sports knowledge relating to teams, players, and storylines
Required Education:
High School Diploma
Additional Information:
Must be able to work nights/holidays/weekends
